Returns Policy
The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (as amended 2005) By purchasing over the internet or by telephone you are entering into a “Distance Sale”. In addition to your normal statutory rights as a consumer, you also have the right to cancel the contract at any time up to seven days after the date your order is delivered to you. This right does NOT apply to products specifically made to your specifications and this includes floor coverings (i.e. carpet and sheet vinyl) which have been cut from a roll to your specific order size. If your order has not been delivered and you wish to cancel your order, please use the ‘contact us’ section of the web site. One of our sales team will check the status of your order and confirm if the cancellation is possible. When your goods have been delivered, you have a reasonable opportunity to make sure that they are the goods you ordered. If not, you should not cut into, fit or use them (other than to check whether or not they are the right goods). You should retain the packaging so that this can be used, if possible, for their return. You will be responsible for the condition of the goods and for their reasonable care whilst they are in your possession. Customers wishing to return goods under the ‘Distance Selling Act’ must advise BF Direct via an on-site submission form, up to 7 days after the day the goods are received. Upon receipt of the request, BF Direct will issue a ‘returns note’ giving details of where the goods should be returned to. The goods must be unopened/packaged ‘as new’ and returned to the address given, at the customer’s full expense. Upon receipt of the goods, the supplier will check thoroughly and confirm to BF Direct if all items have been returned in an acceptable condition. Upon confirmation from the supplier, BF Direct will refund the value of the goods returned to the original card account that the sale payment was made on. Any goods returned in an unsuitable condition will not be refunded, the customer will be advised and given 10 days to collect the goods otherwise they will be disposed of. After this statutory seven day ‘cooling off’ period, you have the protection of your statutory rights, detailed in our Terms and Conditions. If you are unsure of your rights, please do not hesitate to seek advice from Trading Standards or other advisory body.
